About

A few of you may remember “Ye Old Fiddler’s Picnic” at Hemlock Park in the late 1950’s and 60’s, which later eventually moved to the Wayne County Fairgrounds from 1970-1984.  I remember going to them when I was a kid growing up in Palmyra, watching the bands perform and all the people hanging out having a good time!! I’m sure that was the kickstart to many musical adventures I’ve had since. I liked it so much I started my own version, a new spin on an old tradition.

The Upstate Fiddler’s Picnic is a celebration of American bluegrass, folk, and acoustic roots music I started in 2012 and held in 2012, 13 and 17 in Marion NY. Backwoods locations were turned into musical campouts, growing each time, with the 2017 addition featuring perfect weather and hundreds of smiling faces of all ages. It was a great weekend. But it was definitely time for a bigger and better venue, and I knew right were to start – back at the beginning.

Fiddlers returns in 2020 (fingers still crossed due to Covid-19) at a legendary Finger Lakes location <tba May 29th> featuring 3 days and 2 nights of live music on 2 stages (one indoors, one outdoors), overnight tent and RV camping (elec/water), arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, songs around the campfire and more! Enjoying Local & Regional Live Music with Friends & Family (One-Love-Tribe) is the general theme. Hope you can make it!
